Ahh, things are finally approaching the outskirts of Sanity. After two weeks of the most stressful military move we've ever gone through, we're here. We drove from Fort Huachuca to northern Virginia just in time to get pummeled by storms, then slow-roasted in triple digit heat combined with near-100% humidity. But it's starting to cool off a bit, at least for a few days.
During the trip, I got three really incredible bits of news. First, one of my short stories is being reprinted in a Best of anthology, and that rocks. Second, Blood Bound Books accepted my second completed novel, Hell or High Water. It's a ghost story that takes place on a Georgia lake, and it's a lot of fun. Look for it next summer! I'll post updates as I get them. Third, I got a peek at the possible cover art for The Horror Library, Volume 5. It's really cool, and I'll post it as soon as Cutting Block finalizes it.
Got to get back to work in a few days--the day job. As for the other job, making stuff up, the fun never stops...
